A local SEO checklist you can finish this week

Local search is often the highest-intent traffic a business gets: someone nearby, already looking to buy. Most of the work is unglamorous and entirely doable in a week.

Start with your Google Business Profile: correct category, complete address, real hours, genuine photos and a description that reads like a human wrote it. Keep the name, address and phone number identical everywhere they appear online.

On your website, give each service its own page with the city in the title and description, add your address in the footer, and make the phone number tappable on mobile. Speed matters — compress images and remove scripts you do not use.

Then ask for reviews, consistently and politely, and reply to every one. Reviews and proximity drive local rankings more than most on-page tweaks people obsess over.
